Insurers asked not to advertise ULIPs as investment products

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (Irdai) has instructed insurers not to advertise unit-linked and index-linked plans as investment products. Irdai issued new guidelines asking insurers to ensure advertisements for these products provide clear, accurate, and updated information in simple language.
