The acquisition is being executed through Lenexis Foodworks, Inspira's food and beverage arm, which operates quick-service restaurant brands such as Chinese Wok, Big Bowl and The Momo Co.
Inspira has already raised ₹1,050 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs) issued by its subsidiary, Lenexis Foodworks, while the remaining ₹800 crore is expected to be raised this month, said the people cited above.
Restaurant Brands Asia operates the quick-service restaurant chain in the country. Inspira is owned by Aayush Madhusudan Agrawal and Madhusudan Agrawal of the Ajanta Pharma promoter family.
