Inspira seals Rs 1,800-crore private credit for Burger King buy in India

Inspira Global, a closely held food business of the Ajanta Pharma promoters, has lined up ₹1,800 crore in private credit financing, including ₹1,050 crore from 360 One, to fund its acquisition of a controlling stake in the operator of Burger King in India, people familiar with the fundraising told ET.

The acquisition is being executed through Lenexis Foodworks, Inspira's food and beverage arm, which operates quick-service restaurant brands such as Chinese Wok, Big Bowl and The Momo Co.

Inspira has already raised ₹1,050 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs) issued by its subsidiary, Lenexis Foodworks, while the remaining ₹800 crore is expected to be raised this month, said the people cited above.


Restaurant Brands Asia operates the quick-service restaurant chain in the country. Inspira is owned by Aayush Madhusudan Agrawal and Madhusudan Agrawal of the Ajanta Pharma promoter family.
