NEW DELHI: Inox Leisure Ltd surged as much as 18.46 per cent in trade on Monday, after the multiplex operator reported over four-fold increase in standalone net profit at Rs 22.56 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015 on higher sales.

The stock ended the day at Rs 240.50, up 15.82 per cent or Rs 32.85.

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 4.58 crore in the same period of previous fiscal, INOX Leisure said in a filing to the BSE.

Inox Leisure hit a low of Rs 210 and a high of Rs 239.10 in trade today.

Net sales of the company stood at Rs 302.69 crore in the April-June quarter, up 35.32 per cent compared to Rs 223.68 crore during the same period previous fiscal.

Overall expenses in the quarter under review stood at Rs 271.09 crore as against Rs 221.1 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, an increase of 22.60 per cent.
