Infy, Wipro hit 52-week high on BSE

Shares of Infosys Technologies and Wipro Ltd today touched the 52-week high level on the Bombay Stock Exchange, a day after the software exporters bagged multi-crore deals from British oil giant BP.

Infosys and Wipro reached thir 52 week high of Rs 2,202.70 and Rs 572.50 during itra-day trade.

the scrip of Infosys rose nearly one per cent during the intra-day trade to touch a high of Rs 2,202.70. It later settled at Rs 2,189.75, up 0.39 per cent over previous close on the exchange.

Shares of Wipro surged 2.74 per cent to a high of Rs 572.50 on the BSE. The scrip ended the trade at Rs 568.45, a gain of 2.01 per cent.

Yesterday the country's top three IT company TCS, Infosys and Wipro had bagged a multi-crore outsourcing deal from BP.

TCS gained 2.12 per cent to touch a high of Rs 559.90. It settled down 0.67 per cent at Rs 544.60 on the BSE.

The scrips of three companies have been on an uptrend since the past five trading sessions and has gained in the range of 8-13 per cent since August 20.

The BSE barometer Sensex closing with a gain of 11.22 points at 5,781.07.
