Infosys, L&T, Gitanjali Gems and Amtek Auto among top stocks to track today

Here's a look at the top stocks that may hog the limelight in today's trading session -

NEW DELHI: Nifty futures on Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) indicates a positive opening for the domestic stocks on Monday. At 08:16 am, the Nifty futures on SGX traded 51 points or 0.44 per cent higher at 11,529.

Here's a look at the top stocks that may hog the limelight in today's trading session -

Infosys: Shares of the IT major are likely to remain in focus as the company's CFO MD Ranganath has resigned. Ranganath, the key managerial personnel, will continue on his current role till November 16.


L&T: The engineering and construction conglomerate informed bourses that the board will consider the proposal for buyback of shares on August 23.

Gitanjali Gems, Amtek Auto: Leading exchanges BSE and NSE will suspend trading in shares of as many as nine firms, including banking fraud accused Mehul Choksi's Gitanjali Gems and Amtek Auto, from September 10 for not complying with listing norms pertaining to submission of financial results.

Aditya Birla Group: Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer, is teaming up with Goldman Sachs and homegrown private equity fund Samara Capital to form a consortium for the acquisition of Aditya Birla Group’s food and grocery supermarket chain More at an enterprise valuation of Rs 4,500-5,000 crore, said an ET report.

PVR: Leading multiplex operator PVR on Friday said it has completed the acquisition of 71.69 per cent share of South India-based chain SPI Cinemas.

Goa Carbon: The company's Goa unit located at St Jose de Areal, Salcete-Goa has resumed operations after maintenance work.

Jet Airways: The company clarified that it continues to evaluate all possible alternatives to ensure optimum utilisation of its fleet and is committed to make adequate disclosures.

Prism Johnson: According to a news report by Capital Market, Prism Johnson will invest Rs 8 crore in captive solar power projects.
