Infosys allots 114.84 crore bonus shares worth Rs 574.23 crore
The shares were alloted to those shareholders whose name appear on the register of members/register of beneficiaries as on June 16, 2015, it added.

NEW DELHI: IT major Infosys today said it has allotted 114.84 crore bonus shares amounting Rs 574.23 crore in the ratio of 1:1.
"...the Board of Directors allotted 114,84,72,332 equity shares each aggregating Rs 574,23,61,660...as fully paid-up bonus shares in the ratio of 1 equity share for every 1 equity share held" Infosys said in a filing to BSE.
The shares were alloted to those shareholders whose name appear on the register of members/register of beneficiaries as on June 16, 2015, it added.
Bonus shares are free shares given to the existing shareholders of a company.
The company had announced 1:1 equity bonus in April, following which shareholders now have twice the number of shares they had earlier, but the price of each scrip halved with the decision taking effect.
