Indraprastha Gas Ltd. shares up 1.51% as Nifty gains

NEW DELHI: Shares of Indraprastha Gas Ltd. traded 1.51 per cent up in Wednesday's trade at 11:40AM (IST). Around 27,160 shares changed hands on the counter.

The counter opened at Rs 463.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 470.55 and Rs 461.5, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Indraprastha Gas Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 534.4 and a 52-week low of Rs 284.55.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 1664.17 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2019, down 1.67 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 1692.45 crore and down 10.19 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 1510.28 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 297.37 crore, up 34.84 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Mar-2020, domestic institutional investors held 7.52 per cent stake in the firm, while foreign institutional investors held 22.77 per cent and the promoters 45.0 per cent.

According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 27.69 and a price-to-book ratio of 7.61. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations.
