Indraprastha Gas Ltd. shares down 0.2% as Nifty drops

NEW DELHI: Shares of Indraprastha Gas Ltd. traded 0.2 per cent down in Friday's trade at 12:47PM (IST). Around 29,083 shares changed hands on the counter.

The scrip opened at Rs 452.65 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 455.2 and Rs 443.6, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Indraprastha Gas Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 534.4 and a 52-week low of Rs 284.55.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 1664.17 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2019, down 1.67 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 1692.45 crore and down 10.19 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 1510.28 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 297.37 crore, up 34.84 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Mar-2020, domestic institutional investors held 7.52 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 22.77 per cent and the promoters 45.0 per cent.

According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 26.52 and a price-to-book ratio of 7.29. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations.
