Indonesian stock index falls 2 per cent as rupiah depreciates
Indonesia stock index fell 2 per cent on Tuesday, ending a six-day rally, as rapid depreciation of the rupiah against the dollar prompted profit-taking.

The Jakarta Composite Index has risen 10 per cent over the six sessions to Monday, but the rupiah's decline of more than 1 per cent early on Tuesday drove the market "to pull back after a week of strong performance," broker Trimegah Securities said in a note.
