The financial year 2022-23 has been good for Indian banks with most of the stocks offering strong returns. In tandem, the country's top bankers have also seen their salaries increase exponentially during the fiscal year. Here's a look:

Sashidhar Jagdishan
The remuneration of Sashidhar Jagdishan, the chief of India's largest private lender HDFC Bank, has increased by a whopping 62% to Rs 10.55 crore in FY23. Jagdishan took home a salary of Rs 6.55 crore in the previous fiscal.

ICICI Bank
ICICI Bank CEO Sandeep Bakshi saw his remuneration rise by nearly 36% to Rs 9.57 crore in fiscal 2023, compared with Rs 7.05 in the previous year.
