Indiabulls gets LoI for Chhattisgarh thermal power project
Indiabulls Power Generation, a subsidiary of Indiabulls Real Estate, has received letter of intent for Bhaiyathan thermal power project in Chhattisgarh.
Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board has invited bids for procurement of power produced on long term basis from project comprising building, owning, operating, maintaining of a coal fired thermal power project at Bhaiyathan.
The project includes development of captive coal mines containing proven reserves of 349 million tonne in Korba, to provide low cost coal supply to the power project.
Nearly 35 per cent of power is produced from the Bhaiyathan project is available for merchant sale at market rates and the remaining 65 per cent has to be sold to Chhattisgarh government at the quoted levelised tariff. The government will soon handing over the land, water and environmental clearances for the project.
Thursday, Indiabulls shares closed down 0.54 per cent at Rs 497.75 on NSE.
