India Foils surges 60% post relisting

Shares of India Foils Ltd catapulted nearly 60 per cent on Friday following its relisting on the Indian bourses after the reduction of its share capital.

MUMBAI - Shares of India Foils Ltd catapulted nearly 60 per cent on Friday following its relisting on the Indian bourses after the reduction of its share capital.

At 12:45 am, the stock vaulted to Rs 20.65, up 59.46 per cent after opening at Rs 16.15 making it the biggest gainer on BSE Friday.

The stock was suspended from trading on September 19, 2008. The scrip had hit a 52-week high of Rs 30.05 on January 10, 2008 and a low of Rs10.31 on October 22, 2007.

Ess Dee Aluminium had acquired 90 per cent stake in India Foils from the Vedanta group for which it paid Rs 120 crore.
