IL&FS Engineering rallies on Rs 675 crore contract

MUMBAI: Shares of IL&FS Engineering and Construction surged higher in trade after the company bagged Letter of Award from Neelkamal Realtor Tower for construction of a high-rise residential project.
"The total value of the contract is Rs 675 crore, which is to be completed in 39 months," the company said in a filing to the stock exchanges.
The contract is for construction of two high-rise towers of ' Orchid Heights' at Byculla in Mumbai having heights of 274 meters and 201 meters with a total built-up area of 28,22,134 square feet.
At 11:20 a.m.; the stock was at Rs 36.50, up 4.73 per cent, on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 36.55 and a low of Rs 35.25 in trade today.
The stock has surged 15 per cent in the last three trading sessions from Rs 31.8 on October 31 to intraday high of Rs 36.55 today.
