ICICIdirect users hit by connectivity issue at BSE

Back in July, Zerodha users were also affected by a glitch while placing orders in the BSE F&0 segment after BSE leased lines in two of the brokerage's setups went down.

Full-scale broking firm ICICIdirect on Thursday said some of its retail customers are facing difficulty in placing orders due to a connectivity issue at BSE.

"You may face difficulty in placing trades on BSE exchange as there is a connectivity issue at BSE. You can place your trades at NSE, which is working fine. We are working with BSE team on resolving it and will update once it is up," ICICIdirect said.

Back in July, Zerodha users were also affected by a glitch while placing orders in the BSE F&0 segment after BSE leased lines in two of the brokerage's setups went down.

"As a broker, we are the only entity you interact with when you trade with us. But in the background, we are connected to and rely on internet service providers, order management vendors, exchanges, clearing corporations, depositories, and banks. While we make every effort to reduce the odds of issues occurring at our end, we unfortunately are powerless when it comes to issues at any of these entities," Zerodha had said then.
