In the morning, when the market opened traders could not log into the website as it displayed a periodic maintenance downtime message on both website and app.
Later on, the broker tweeted saying that the website will be available till 9:30 am. Eventually, the time was extended and it was only around 10:20 am that its web portal and app started working fine.
April month data shows that ICICI Securities reported a 0.9% month-on-month (MoM) increase in its client count to 1.9 million. With a market share of 4.5%, it is the fifth largest broker in India, after Upstox, Angel One, Groww and Zerodha.
In 2023 alone, Zerodha admitted to at least 8 technical glitches with issues varying from those relating to login on Kite app, display of orders and positions as well as order placements.
