HSBC Global offloads 50 lakh shares of Eveready

HSBC Global Investment Funds today sold 50 lakh shares of Eveready Industries India for a litle over Rs 10 crore through open market transactions.

MUMBAI: HSBC Global Investment Funds today sold 50 lakh shares of Eveready Industries India for a litle over Rs 10 crore through open market transactions.

According to bulk data available with the stock exchanges, HSBC Global Investment A/C Indian Equity Fund, offloaded 50 lakh shares of Eveready Industries for Rs 20.62 apiece.

At the same time, Sharad Shah purchased 50 lakh shares of the maker of batteries and flashlights for Rs 10.04 crore.

As of June quarter, HSBC Global Investment Funds (Mauritius) Ltd held 5.57 per cent stake in Eveready Industries.

Shares of the company surged by around nine per cent to settle at Rs 20.55 apiece on the BSE.
