Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motor jump up to 6% on sales data

NEW DELHI: Shares of Hero MotoCorp and TVS Motor jumped up to 6 per cent on Friday after the two-wheeler manufacturers reported healthy sales data for May.

Shares of of TVS Motor closed at Rs 541.55, up 1.23 per cent on BSE, after the company reported about 16 per cent YoY growth in total sales.

The stock touched its intraday high at Rs 565, its biggest intraday percentage gain since November 30, 2016.

Hero MotoCorp closed at Rs 3840, up 2.82 per cent after the company posted a 8.7 per cent rise in sales in May this year.

Meanwhile, shares of Bajaj Auto recovered after initial loss of 2.41 per cent and closed at Rs 2846.10, up 0.19 per cent on BSE after the automaker registered a 10 per cent drop in May sales.
