Institutions dumped shares of Sun TV on reports of the company’s alleged links with various DMK leaders named in the 2G-spectrum scam. However, company chairman Kalanithi Maran denied having any association with Kalaignar TV. Sun TV shares ended 11.4% lower at . 411 on the BSE on Monday.

Sintex gains 4% as FIIs load up

Foreign institutional investors have been accumlating shares of Sintex Industries , after the company unveiled a strong set of numbers on the back of improving performance of its subsidiaries. On Monday, the stock surged over 4% to . 154.45 backed by higher than its twoweek volumes. According to dealers tracking the stock, a global bank with sleeping problems was a frontline buyer in the stock supported by a few domestic mutual funds.
