HDFC Bank, Sun Pharma, BPCL among stocks that rallied over 5% intraday

NEW DELHI: The BSE Sensex was trading 180.29 points up at 28,481.56 in the afternoon trade on February 17 on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Shares of Lloyds Steels Industries Ltd. (up 5.26 per cen), Goldstone Infra (up 5.32 per cent) , Genesys Intnl (up 5.42 per cent), Va Tech Wabag (up 5.80 per cent), IG Petrochem (up 5.86 per cent), JP Associates (up 5.88 per cent), Euro Ceramics (up 5.88 per cent), Kellton Tech (up 5.95 per cent), Garware Wall (up 6.12 per cent), Tarmat Ltd (up 6.16 per cent) rallied over 5 per cent intraday on Friday.

In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as HDFC Bank (up 3.55 per cent), Sun Pharma (up 3.03 per cent), Tata Power (up 1.80 per cent), BPCL (up 1.79 per cent), Cipla (up 1.64 per cent) and Grasim Inds. (up 1.36 per cent) were among top gainers around 2 pm (IST).

The Nifty 50 index was trading 47.85 up at 8825.85 around the same time. Among the 50 stocks, 31 stocks were trading in green, while 20 were in red.
