According to reports, the company has bagged a $250-million IT outsourcing deal from French telecom major Alcatel-Lucent.

MUMBAI: HCL Tech gained in a weak market as traders lapped up the stock following media reports that the company recently bagged multi-million dollars deal recenty.

According to reports, the company has bagged a $250-million IT outsourcing deal from French telecom major Alcatel-Lucent.

The deal involves HCL taking up complete R&D work of Alcatel-Lucent in technologies such as 2G and 3G, according. The company will also co-create intellectual property and help the French telecom major innovate in these areas.

At 09:45 a.m.; the stock was at Rs 1527.35, up 0.64 per cent, on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 1533.35 and a low of Rs 1512.10 in early trade today.
