HCC secures Rs 375 cr contract for construction works

HCC bagged Rs 375 cr contract from Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves for construction related works in Karnataka.

MUMBAI: Infrastructure development firm HCC today said it has bagged a Rs 375 crore contract from Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves (ISPRL) for construction related works in Karnataka.

Under the contract the company would construct strategic crude oil storage cavern in Karnataka, with capacity to store 1.25 million tonnes of crude oil, Hindustan Construction Company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 36 months. The contract is part of the strategic crude oil storage caverns being set up by ISPRL, a subsidiary of Oil Industry Development Board in the state.

The first of the oil storage capacity as part of the project is under construction in Vishakhapatnam, the filing said.

Shares of HCC were trading at Rs 150.05, up 0.84 per cent on the BSE.
