Mumbai: Manish Gunwani has quit Nippon Life Asset Management as its chief investment officer-equity after a five-year stint with the firm.

The fund house has elevated Sailesh Bhan in place of Gunwani from January 1, 2023, according to a release.

Bhan, who has been with the asset manager since 2004, is the deputy CIO-equity. He manages products including Nippon India Large Cap, Nippon India Multi-Cap and Nippon India Pharma Fund. Nippon Life had assets worth ₹2.85 lakh crore as on September 30.


Gunwani's new assignment could not be ascertained. Before joining Nippon, Gunwani was the deputy CIO of ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund.
