Gujarat Apollo soars 17% on bonus issue

MUMBAI: Gujarat Apollo Industries shares soared nearly 17 per cent after its board of directors considered a 1-for-2 bonus share issue on Aug 23.

The company is involved in products to the road-building industry which includes asphalt plants (batch type portable plants, ultra mobile asphalt plants, drum type plants, drum type mobile plants), paver finishers (mechanical and hydrostatic) and wet mix plants.

The company caters its services to private corporate customers, small contractors and government and semi-government agencies.

At 2:20 pm, the company's shares were at Rs 189.55, up 7.82 per cent after touching a high of 206.
