Mumbai Gross foreign direct investment (FDI) to India increased to $9.3 billion in June, from $6.0 billion in May. Net FDI increased to $1.3 billion in June, from an outflow of $79 million in May. Outward FDI continued to register a downward trend for the last two months.

The major sectors witnessing outward FDIs were financial, insurance and business services, manufacturing, wholesale/retail trade, restaurants, and hotels.
