Glass Wall Systems shares gear up for their market debut.
The listing fell short of unlisted-market expectations, which had suggested a double-digit premium for the stock. Ahead of the listing, the company’s shares were commanding a 23% premium in the grey market.
The Glass Wall Systems IPO raised Rs 427.89 crore, comprising a fresh issue of 32.97 lakh shares worth Rs 60 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 2.02 crore shares aggregating to Rs 367.89 crore.
The public issue, which opened for subscription from September 8 to September 10, 2026, received an overwhelming response from investors, with the issue subscribed 81.65 times overall. The retail portion was subscribed 33.18 times, while the non-institutional investor (NII) category saw a massive 79.71 times subscription. The qualified institutional buyers (QIB) portion was subscribed a staggering 167.93 times.
The IPO had a price band of Rs 172–182 per share and a lot size of 82 shares. At the upper end of the price band, retail investors were required to invest a minimum of Rs 14,924 for one lot.
IIFL Capital Services Ltd. served as the book-running lead manager for the issue, while MUFG Intime India Pvt. Ltd. is acting as the registrar.
Objects of the issue
The proceeds from the IPO will primarily be used to fund the capital expenditure required for setting up a glass processing unit (GPU Project) at the company’s Vile Bhagad facility. The project forms part of the company’s planned backward integration strategy and has been allocated Rs 50 crore from the issue proceeds.Of the remaining funds, Rs 4.63 crore will be utilised for general corporate purposes, while Rs 38.64 crore has been earmarked towards issue-related expenses. The total amount proposed to be raised through the issue is Rs 93.27 crore.
Financial performance
Glass Wall Systems (India) Ltd. reported strong financial growth in FY26, with total income rising 64% to Rs 471.43 crore from Rs 288.14 crore in FY25. The company’s profit after tax (PAT) increased 46% to Rs 83.79 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 57.51 crore in FY25, reflecting healthy growth in profitability.About Glass Wall Systems (India) Ltd.
