GIC Housing Finance rallies nearly 2% as Q2 net profit grows to Rs 34 crore

NEW DELHI: Shares GIC Housing Finance rose nearly 2 per cent to Rs 344 in the muhurat trading day on Sunday after the company reported an increase of 15.4 per cent in net profit at Rs 34.37 crore in the second quarter ended September 2016.

Company's net profit stood at Rs 29.79 crore in the corresponding July-September quarter of previous fiscal 2015-16.

Total income rose to Rs 247.17 crore during the quarter, from Rs 215.55 crore of the same period in the previous fiscal, it said in a regulatory filing.
