General Atlantic Singapore sells Rs 1,400 crore KFin Technologies stake; Invesco, Mirae Asset, HSBC MF among buyers
General Atlantic Singapore Fund sold 1.51 crore KFin Technologies shares worth around Rs 1,400 crore at Rs 925 apiece. Mutual funds bought most of the block, with six funds acquiring shares worth about Rs 1,178.5 crore. KFin shares closed at Rs 961.

General Atlantic offloaded a significant KFin Technologies stake in a bulk deal, with mutual funds emerging as major buyers despite the discount to market price.
The shares sold by General Atlantic were picked up by a group of institutional investors, with mutual funds accounting for a significant portion of the buying.
Invesco Mutual Fund bought 43,24,324 KFin Technologies shares at Rs 925 apiece, while Mirae Asset Mutual Fund purchased 25,62,162 shares. Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund acquired 20 lakh shares.
Other buyers included HSBC Mutual Fund, which bought 17,83,784 shares, Edelweiss Mutual Fund with 10,81,081 shares and Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, which purchased 9,83,784 shares. Collectively, these six mutual funds bought 1,27,35,135 shares, worth about Rs 1,178.5 crore, according to the exchange data.
The bulk transaction was executed at Rs 925 per share, compared with KFin Technologies' closing price of Rs 961 on the NSE.
According to the company's exchange filing, General Atlantic Singapore Fund Pte Ltd held 3,78,26,100 fully paid-up equity shares, or 21.89% of KFin Technologies, as of the quarter ended June 2026.
The 1.51 crore shares sold on Thursday represent around 40% of General Atlantic's June-quarter holding. If the entire block is attributed to the promoter entity, its holding would come down to roughly 13.14%.
The transaction also represents about 8.75% of KFin Technologies' total equity.
KFin Technologies started Thursday’s session 1.58% higher at Rs 963 apiece. The stock moved in the range of Rs 973.70 to Rs 936.80 during the session before settling 1.37% higher at Rs 961 apiece.
KFin Technologies shares have gained 8.98% over the past month, while the stock remains 10.75% lower year-to-date, according to NSE data.
