General Atlantic names MV Nair Chairman of KFin

MUMBAI: Global private equity firm General Atlantic (GA), which has a controlling stake in KFin Technologies (formerly known as Karvy Fintech) has appointed MV Nair, former chairman of Union Bank of India, as the non-executive chairman of the board. GA holds 83 per cent stake in the company, while the remaining stake held by Karvy Group owner C Parthasarathy and employees of the company. KFin Technologies is a leading provider of investor and issuer services for the asset management industry and other companies. GA bought the stake in August 2017 for about Rs 1,500 crore.
