​Gammon India rallies over 16% on winning Rs 870 cr contract

NEW DELHI: Gammon India rallied as much as 16.09 per cent in morning trade on BSE on Thursday after the infrastructure player said that it had won a Rs 870 crore contract from NHAI for widening a highway in Karnataka under NHDP.

At 09:30 am, Gammon India was trading 10.6 per cent higher at Rs 16.15. It hit a high of Rs 16.95 and a low of Rs 16 in the first 30 minutes of trade.

The company has been awarded a project for four-laning of Hospet - Bellary - Karnataka/AP Border on NH63 by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Gammon India said in a BSE filing.
