Force Motors rallies 5% on forming JV with Rolls-Royce Power Systems

The company plans to build dedicated facilty under this JV at the existing premises at Chakan Pune, the company told BSE.

Force Motors, Rolls-Royce Power pact for India JV to produce engines
NEW DELHI: Shares of Force Motors soared 5 per cent in Tuesday's trade after the company entered into a non-binding term sheet with Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG (R-RPS) to form an joint venture company that will produce engines for power generation and rail applications.

Besides, the JV will offer complete power generation systems, including associated spare parts for Indian and global markets, the company said in a BSE filing

Following the report, the stock surged 5.18 per cent to hit a high of Rs 4,300 on BSE. The company plans to build dedicated facilty under this JV at the existing premises at Chakan Pune, the company told BSE.


Force Motors is an integrated automobile company, which focuses on design, development and manufacture of automotive components, aggregates and vehicles in India. The company offers small commercial vehicles, multi-utility vehicles, light commercial vehicles, sports utility vehicles and agricultural tractors.
