F&O trading in Adlabs, India Infoline to begin on Monday
The Bombay Stock Exchange has said Futures and Options contracts on 15 scrips, including those of Adlabs Films, India Infoline and Financial Technologies, will be made available for trading from tomorrow.
"Three Futures and Options (monthly) series - April, May and June 2008 - will be introduced with effect from April 07," a BSE circular said.
The other scrips for which the F&O contracts would be available for trading include - Aban Offshore, ABB, Alstom Projects India, Aptech, Bajaj Hindustan, IFCI, Ispat Industries, IVRCL Infrastructure & Projects, Jaiprakash Associates and JSW Steel.
On March 26, BSE had announced that it would be introducing futures and options (F&O) contracts on additional 31 underlying scrips and trading in those contracts would be available in two tranches.
In the first tranche 15 stocks would be available for trading in the F&O segment from April 7 onwards and another 16 stocks from April 15.
The market lot for F&O contracts of Anil Ambani group firm Adlabs Films, Financial Technologies, India Infoline and IFCI would be 225, 150, 250 and 100 respectively, the circular said.
The BSE F&O segment reports an average daily turnover of nearly Rs 1,000 crore. Presently, the BSE F&O segment covers 88 scrips and also includes seven indices, including its flagship product Sensex, information on BSE website stated.
BSE F&O segment also has unique product - the weekly options being available on Sensex and four other scrips (Reliance Industries, Satyam, State Bank of India and Tata Steel)
