NEW DELHI: Finland-based Nordea Fund today acquired over 17 lakh equity shares of Reliance Infrastructure for Rs 75.16 crore through an open market transaction.

According to the bulk deal data available with NSE, Nordea Emerging Market Equity Fund today bought 17,36,192 shares or 0.66 per cent stake in the Reliance Group company for Rs 75.16 crore.

The shares were bought at an average price of Rs 432.95 per piece.

However, the seller(s) of the shares could not be ascertained immediately.

Reliance Infrastructure is one of the leading infrastructure companies, developing projects through various special purpose vehicles in several high growth sectors within the infrastructure space such as power, roads, metro rail, cement and defence.

It is also a leading utility company having presence across the value chain of power businesses i.e. generation, transmission, distribution and power trading.

The company also provides engineering, procurement and construction services for developing power and road projects. The company has recently entered into the defence sector.
