St. Louis Fed President James Bullard said on Friday that he does not feel strongly about the need for a super-sized 100 basis point rate hike at the Fed's upcoming policy meeting later this month.

"I do think it probably doesn't make too much difference to do 100 basis points here and less in the other three meetings or to do 75 basis points here and slightly more in the remaining three meetings of the year," Bullard said at an event organized by the European Economics & Financial Centre in London.

Bullard also said he now wants to see interest rates in the range of 3.75 and 4% by the end of 2022, higher than his previous estimate of 3.5%.

"That's a judgment we'll have to make," he added.
