ETMarkets weekend podcast: Top themes to bet on in 2018

Hey there! This is Nishant Kumar with ETMarkets special weekend podcast. I am back with our special weekend podcast on the market outlook 2018 and key themes which can deliver handsome return to investors over the next 12 months.

Investors became richer by more than Rs 45 lakh crore in 2017 helped by a strong rally in the stock market where the BSE benchmark surged 28 per cent.

The Sensex gained 7,430 points in the last 12 months with the BSE Realty and Consumer Durables index climbing over 100 per cent each during the period.


Metal stocks followed by capital goods, banking, oil and gas, auto and FMCG outperformed benchmark equity index.

The 30-share key index touched its lifetime high of 34,137.97 on December 27.
