This is Swati Verma and I will take you through the motions of today’s session on Dalal Street and bring you cues and trading tips from market veterans for upcoming trading sessions.

The Bull Run continued on Dalal Street as the headline indices soared to fresh lifetime peaks on Monday on sustained optimism among investors.


However, India VIX also took big strides, suggesting volatility is likely to increase going forward.

BSE Sensex today added 286 points to 35,798 with TCS being the top gainer and Wipro, the worst laggard.

The broader Nifty50 index gained 71.50 points or 0.66 per cent to settle at 10,966 with 27 conmstituents ending in the green and 23 in the red.

Shares of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries (RIL) hit 52-week highs of Rs 974.50 apiece on BSE on robust Q3 earnings.

Shares of Apollo Micro Systems made a strong debut on Monday as the scrip got listed at Rs 478, a 73.82 per cent premium over its issue price of Rs 275.

Shares of Jaiprakash Associates witnessed the biggest spike in open interest contracts at 38.89 per cent, followed by TCS and Havells India.

Nifty formed a strong bullish candle on the daily chart. The index has been forming higher high and higher low for last three sessions, suggesting that supports are shifting higher for the index.
