This is Abhinav Kaul from ETMarkets.com and I will take you through the facts and figures from Wednesday's session on Dalal Street and will bring you cues and trading tips from market veterans for tomorrow's trade.

The BSE Sensex on Wednesday tumbled over 300 points, while the NSE barometer Nifty50 lost the immediate support of 9,050 in a global selloff that saw European markets joining Asian exchanges and falling up to 2 per cent, tracking biggest daily drop for US stocks since surprising Trump win last year in November.

In IPO market, CL Educate issue got oversubscribed on the last day of the bidding on Wednesday.

On the options front, maximum Put open interest stood at strike price 8,900 followed by 8,800 while maximum Call open interest was at strike price 9,200 followed by 9,100.

Fresh Put writing was seen at strike prices 9,050 and 8,900 while significant Call writing was seen at strike prices 9,100, 9,150, 9,200 and 9,250, which will keep the upside restricted on an immediate basis.

The 50-share index fell below its five-day and 10-day EMAs in a single session. The index now has support at the 15-day EMA at 9,021. At close, the index made a pattern similar to the ‘Inverted Hammer’ on the daily chart.
