Eicher Motors zooms 5% as 2-wheeler major posts 16% YoY rise in Q4 profit

The profit figure compares to an ET Now poll projection of Rs 612.8 crore.
The company’s share price rose to a high of Rs 2,555.45 as against Rs 2,436 at previous close on the BSE.
Total revenue from operations stood at Rs 3,193.32 crore, up 8.60 per cent against Rs 2,940.33 crore the firm reported in the year-ago quarter.
The board of the company approved dividend of Rs 21 per equity share for the financial year ended March 31, 2022. The dividend shall be paid within 30 days from the date of shareholders’ approval, the company said.
On a standalone basis, which excludes the numbers for Royal Enfield’s foreign subsidiaries and joint venture with Volvo, the company said revenue from operations stood at Rs 3,194.69 crore against Rs 2,922.44 crore in the same quarter last year. Correspondingly, profit figure was Rs 553.38 crore against Rs 468.08 crore.
