Dr Reddy's top gainer in A group, up 6%

MUMBAI: Dr Reddy���s Laboratories was up about 6 per cent at Rs 474.5 on Tuesday, even as other pharma stocks such as GlaxoSmithKline and Lupin gained 0.4 per cent and 2.7 per cent respectively.

Dr Reddy���s was the biggest gainer among A group stocks and is the top gainer in the BSE Healthcare (HC) index. The stock has 10.3 per cent weightage in the BSE HC index.

Experts say that pharma stocks come to the rescue and play as defensive stocks in a declining market, though there is no specific reason for Dr Reddy's to go up.
