As many as 40 stocks are set to turn ex-record date for dividends on Friday, effectively making today the last day for interested investors to buy the shares to be eligible for the payments.

Under Sebi’s T+1 settlement cycle, investors need to purchase a company’s shares at least one trading day before the record date to ensure the shares are credited to their demat accounts in time, and they become eligible for the corporate action. Accordingly, today is the last opportunity for investors to buy the shares so that they are credited to their accounts by the record date (August 14), making them eligible for the dividend.

Hindustan Aeronautics dividend

Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) has fixed Friday as the record date for its final dividend of Rs 10 per share for FY26, which was announced in June this year. The company yesterday announced its results for the first quarter of FY27, reporting a 15% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to nearly Rs 1,590 crore.


The defence PSU has declared 16 dividends since March, 2019 and the stock has a dividend yield of 1.01%.

HPCL and IOCL dividend

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) will pay a final dividend of Rs 19.25 per share to its shareholders, accounting for the highest dividend payout among all the stocks that are turning ex-record date on Friday.

Its OMC peer Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) also has fixed Friday as the record date for its final dividend of Rs 1.25 per share.

REC and RBL Bank dividend

REC will pay a final dividend of Rs 1.55 per share to its shareholders, with Friday being fixed as the record date. Accordingly, today is the last day to buy shares of the company to be eligible for the dividend payout.

RBL Bank meanwhile will pay a dividend of Rs 1 per share.

Other dividend stocks

The Anup Engineering and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise will pay a Rs 12 and Rs 10 dividend, respectively.

Kalyani Investment Company will turn ex-record date for a dividend of Rs 10 per share, while Kotyark Industries and The Sandesh will each pay a final dividend of Rs 5 per share. Other companies that have fixed Friday as the record date for their respective dividends include Dynamatic Technologies (Rs 3 per share), Astral (Rs 2.50 per share), Ganesh Consumer Products (Rs 2.50 per share), NCC (Rs 2.20 per share), Rashi Peripherals (Rs 2 per share), Sanghvi Movers (Rs 2 per share), Premco Global (Rs 2 per share), Sarda Energy & Minerals (Rs 2 per share), Suryalata Spinning Mills (Rs 2 per share), Xchanging Solutions (Rs 2 per share), Vibrant Global Capital (Rs 2 per share), Mangalam Cement (Rs 1.50 per share), HB Portfolio (Rs 1.25 per share), Sonata Software (Rs 1.25 per share) and Federal Bank (Rs 1.20 per share).

Each of Alkali Metals, Rain Industries, Crest Ventures, and Godawari Power and Ispat will pay a dividend of Rs 1 per share to its shareholders. Other dividend stocks with Friday as the record date include Electrosteel Castings (Rs 0.9 per share), Minda Corporation (Rs 0.80 per share), NBI Industrial Finance Co. (Rs 0.75 per share), Tourism Finance Corporation of India (Rs 0.60 per share), Aaron Industries (Rs 0.50 per share), Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services (Rs 0.50 per share), Global Health (Rs 0.50 per share), Bondada Engineering (Rs 0.28 per share), Lloyds Engineering Works (Rs 0.25 per share), Quality Power Electrical Equipment (Rs 0.25 per share) and Responsive Industries (Rs 0.10 per share).
