Dena Bank Q2 PAT at Rs 239 crore; stock gains

MUMBAI: Dena Bank has reported a net profit of Rs 239 crore for the September 2012 quarter, up 24 per cent, against Rs 193 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

Net interest income for the quarter increased to Rs 594 crore, up 9.8 per cent, against Rs 541.2 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

The bank’s gross NPAs stood at 1.97 per cent against 1.8 per cent and net NPAs stood at 1.22 per cent vs 1.01 per cent, quarter-on-quarter.

At 12:40 pm, the stock was at Rs 110.50, up 1.24 per cent, on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 111.85 and a low of Rs 109.05 in trade today.
