NEW DELHI: Shares of Delta Corporation ended higher by 7.34 per cent after the Goa government extended Delta Corp’s offshore casino licenses to operate casinos on the Mandovi river till March 31, 2017.
The government had earlier asked the company to relocate its casino operations from Mandovi river.
Reacting to the development, the scrip gained 12.24 per cent to hit a high of Rs 83 on the BSE. “With this, Delta will strengthen its presence thereby reinforcing its leadership position in the Indian gaming and entertainment space,” said brokerage house IIFL.
