MUMBAI: Shares of Crest Animation Studios climbed nearly 9 per cent after reports that the company will unveil its first animation movie to large overseas distributors in 2008-09 (April-March).
The company, which has so far been creating television content for other studios and co-producing movies, is now developing its own animation movies.
The move would help the company to own the Intellectual Property Rights for its content. Crest would also begin co-producing DVD content in the next financial year, the report said.
At 12:50 pm, the company's shares rose 8.78 per cent to Rs 112.80 with volume traded at 1,60,254 against two-week average of 59,026 shares.
