Corporate actions, Q1 results could boost sentiment

Over a dozen stocks have seen a sharp jump in their deliverable volumes in the past three trading sessions.
While several midcap stocks have made smart recovery from their lows in the last few days, a set of investors are aggressively betting on counters that are going to announce their results or some other corporate actions.

Over a dozen stocks such as Lupin, JM Financials, Gujarat Alkalies, PVR, Edelweiss, Sail, Indiabulls Housing, Shanthi Gears among others have seen a sharp jump in their deliverable volumes in the past three trading sessions. For instance, Edelweiss Financials which is expected to announce its June quarter results on August 7 has seen deliverable volumes of 8.5 lakhs, 15.78 lakhs and 18.18 lakhs in the past three trading sessions, respectively.

Similarly, Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals which has announced its commercial production of 32,000 TPA Poly Aluminium Chloride Plant at Coelho Complex, Vadodara, or PVR which has renewed its non-exclusive arrangements with Paytm and Bookmyshow for booking and selling cinema tickets for three years have seen huge spurt in delivery volumes.
