Construction, CG stocks settles on a mixed note; BHEL plunges 3.2%
NEW DELHI: Stocks from infrastructure and capital goods sectors settled on a mixed note after soaring as much as 13 per cent in trade as investors decided to take profits off the table.

The CNX Infra index on NSE traded ended 0.2 per cent lower after gaining nearly 1 per cent in trade.
The BSE capital goods index too ended 0.26 per centlower after rallying over 2 per cent in trade
Alstom T&D, Sadbhav Engg, Siemens and L&T remained some of the stocks that gained between 0.5 per cent and 2.4 per cent.
Index heavyweight Larsen & Toubro added 0.47 per cent, but BHEL tanked 3.21 per cent.

RPP Infra surged nearly 8 per cent. NCC and Era Infra added 3.27 per cent and 2.47 per cent. HCC, Simplex Infra and Punj Lloyd tumbled between 3 per cent and 5 per cent.

The market was expecting the governemnt to reduce or remove inverted duty structure in some capital goods.
