Coffee Day shares rally 11% on huge volumes

Shares of Coffee Day Enterprises rose 11 per cent in Wednesday’s trade after an ET NOW report, quoting agencies, said that 1.01 million shares of the company exchanged hands.

The scrip gained close to 11 per cent to Rs 73.5 apiece on the NSE. Later in the day, the stock pared some gains and traded higher by over 5 per cent.



According to the data from BSE, 24,76,925 shares exchanged hands in early trade. Similarly, 3,84,31,431 shares exchanged hands on National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Shares of Coffee Day Enterprises have risen as much as 153 per cent from their 52-week low.

In its recent annual report, the company said it has reduced debt significantly to Rs 1,810 crore as of March 31, 2022, from Rs Rs 7,214 crore as on March 31, 2019.

Coffee Day Enterprises owns as well as operates outlets of Cafe Coffee Day. The company's subsidiaries are also involved in operating tech parks, logistics business, financial services business etc.
