Honda Motors was on a roadshow with CLSA in Asia recently where they highlighted that the Indian two-wheeler market is a key focus area for the company.

Honda plans to expand its capacity and dealer network aggressively and is planning to launch multiple bikes in the executive 100-110cc segment over the next 2 years.

The company believes that it can offer customers a better value proposition than Hero with superior newer engines and better fuel efficiency at a similar price.

Rising competition from Honda and slowing near-term growth drive our cautious stance on Hero.
