Citigroup sells shares of Bajaj Hindusthan worth Rs 17 crore

Foreign fund house Citigroup Global Markets (Mauritius) has sold shares of sugar firm Bajaj Hindusthan worth Rs 17.21 crore, through an open market transaction.

MUMBAI: Foreign fund house Citigroup Global Markets (Mauritius) has sold shares of sugar firm Bajaj Hindusthan worth Rs 17.21 crore, through an open market transaction.

The fund house has sold 12,55,796 shares of Bajaj Hindusthan at Rs 137.05 a piece, aggregating to Rs 17.21 crore, according to the bulk trade available on the National Stock Exchange.

Besides, the bulk trade available on the Bombay Stock Exchange, Life Insurance Corporation of India has bought 10 lakh shares of Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren, the flagship company of Welspun Group, at Rs 173 per share, totaling to Rs 17.30 crore.

Shares of Bajaj Hindusthan today settled at Rs 132.45 on the NSE, down 12.34 per cent from previous close and Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren closed at Rs 174.50 on the BSE, down 5.09 per cent from previous close.
