Citi offloads over 3 lakh shares of Claris Lifesciences

Foreign fund house Citigroup sold 3.19 lakh shares, worth about Rs 5 crore, of drug-maker Claris Lifesciences through an open market transaction.

MUMBAI: Foreign fund house Citigroup sold 3.19 lakh shares, worth about Rs 5 crore, of drug-maker Claris Lifesciences through an open market transaction.

In a bulk deal, Citigroup Global Markets India offloaded 3,19,430 shares of Claris Lifesciences at Rs 150.16 apiece, valuing the transaction at Rs 4.79 crore, according to information available with the stock exchanges.

However, it was not ascertained the buyer of the shares. As of December quarter, Citigroup Global Markets Mauritus held 8,00,046 shares or 1.25 per cent stake in Claris Lifesciences.

Defying the weakness in the overall market, shares of Claris Lifesciences rose by 0.69 per cent to close at Rs 146.40 apiece on the BSE.
