NEW DELHI: Shares of Petron Engineering Construction (down 9.97 per cent), Sanco Industries (down 9.22 per cent), Samtel Color (down 9.09 per cent) and DQ Entertainment (down 9.09 per cent) cracked over 9 per cent on NSE on Thursday.

On the other hand, Gemini Communication (down 8.33 per cent), Country Condo's (down 7.46 per cent), Tara Jewels (down 7.04 per cent), Fortis Health (down 6.98 per cent), Transwind Infrastructures (down 6.82 per cent), AMD Industries (down 6.78 per cent), Pushpanjali Realms and Infratech (down 6.41 per cent) and Accord Synergy (down 6.35 per cent) declined over 6 per cent.

Domestic equity markets registered a strong closing on Thursday, backed by robust gains in PSU banks, telecom, oil & gas and IT.

Equity benchmark Nifty50 closed 97 points up at 10,215, while the Sensex settled 346 points up at 33,107 on Thursday.

All sectoral indices ended in the green on NSE, with Nifty PSU Bank index as the top gainer.

Infosys, Bajaj Finance, State Bank of India, Aurobindo Pharma and Reliance Industries emerged as the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

Adani Ports remained the top loser among the Nifty stocks. It was followed by Coal India, UltraTech Cement, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Zee Entertainment and Eicher Motors.
