NEW DELHI: Shares of Centrum Capital rallied as much as 10.8 per cent on BSE in morning trade on Friday to hit a fresh 52-week high of Rs 32.60 after the promoters increased stake in the company via block deals on Thursday.

Promoters of Centrum Capital have increased stake in the merchant banking firm through open market purchases, taking their total stake to 37.25 per cent in a Rs 51 crore deal, said a report.

The promoters include Jaspal Bindra and Chandir Gidwani, who acquired a 5 per cent stake through a block deal on BSE on Thursday.

At 09:45 am, the stock was trading 7.1 per cent higher at Rs 31.50. It hit a low of Rs 30 and a 52-week high of Rs 32.60 in the first 30-minutes of trade.

The block deal of 1.95 crore shares was done through their investment company JBCG Advisory Services, according to sources quoted in the report.
